Sharon Yvonne Stone was born on March 10 of 1958 in Meadville, Pennsylvania, to accountant Dorothy Lawson and tool and die manufacturer also a former worker at a factory Joseph William Stone II. Michael, Kelly and Patrick are her three siblings. Stone was regarded as an academically gifted as a child and began the second grade when she was five. In 1975, she graduated from Saegertown high school located in Saegertown (Pennsylvania). She also competed at Miss Pennsylvania. Miss Pennsylvania pageant and won Miss Crawford County. Stone and her aunt relocated from New Jersey to New Jersey to begin a modeling career in 1977. They signed up for The Ford Modeling Agency after a couple of months. Then, she moved to Europe, spending a year living in Milan in Italy and Paris. Stone was, however, unhappy with acting and modeling in Europe. She chose to keep her acting career going as an actress during the time living in Europe. Stone appeared in Woody Allen's film "Stardust Memories" at the age of twenty. The film was met with mixed reviews.
