Melissa Suzanne George hails from Australia and is an actor as well as a businesswoman, inventor, and model. Melissa George began her career as a model and actor in Australia, but eventually moved to Hollywood. An alumna of the city of Perth George began her journey in dance and creative roller skating. She started her modelling career in her early teens and won the Western Australian title of teenager Model of the Year back in 1992. In 1992, her debut screen appearance was on an episode of the Seven Network soap opera Home and Away. The big screen debut came in Dark City, a mystery thriller. Her subsequent roles included supporting roles on projects including Alias The Limey or Down with Love. In 2005 she made her first major Hollywood appearance on The Amityville Horror remake.
